Drill01: Posture for Breathing
When breathing, coordinate the timing of the upward body motion to lift your head above the water surface.
We will practice the correct posture for breathing without moving the head.
Memorize the head position
1. In shallow water, with your mouth open, bend your body down so both lips can touch the surface.
2. Breathe slowly through your mouth.
・ Maintain this head angle for breathing.
Submerge the head
1. Bend the knees and submerge your head, while maintaining the angle of the head and exhaling slowly from the mouth.
2. How fast you press your face into the water determines how fast your head comes up.
・ Practice repeatedly and learn the sensation of the upward and downward motions of the head.
