Drill 41: Rotating the Pelvis

In the 2-beat kick, rotate your hips by flicking your feet.

Generate propulsion by connecting the hip rotation and the hand entry motion.

Steps

-  In the standing position, place your fingers on your hip bones.

-  Turn your hip 2 inches back while keeping your head in place.

-  Place your hands on your shoulders to prevent movement above your shoulders, and rotate only your hips.

-  Move your pelvis back and forth.

-  Prevent your pelvis from moving up and down or sideways.
