D10100-Introduction - Balanced Body Position

First, relax your body to balance yourself both anteroposteriorly and laterally.

A balanced body will minimize the drag of the water and will allow you to swim much easier.

Regardless of whether you are swimming for distance or speed, a balanced body is imperative to your swimming.

Approach

Next, shift your weight towards the front and maintain a balanced horizontal position.

Finally, you will learn to balance yourself to keep an angled position.

You also will learn how to practice in a very deep pool.
